FRANK'S the Flooring Store is searching for two apprentices as it approaches the opening of its new County Durham store.
Two staff are being transferred from the firm's branches in Newcastle to work at the firm's new branch in Consett which will also become the base for two apprentices.
Frank’s is looking for an administration apprentice and a warehousing apprentice and is working with partners including the North East Chamber of Commerce to fill the vacancies.
Work is ongoing to fit out the new purpose-built premises, on the Pond Court Business Park, which will expand the company’s presence in the County Durham town, with more floor space than its existing store in Middle Street.
The new branch, scheduled to open next month, follows the opening of the 25th Frank’s store, in Cramlington, earlier this year.
Mick Copeland, business development manager at the firm which opened its first store opened in 1996 in Stockton, said: "By giving young people the opportunity to come in as apprentices, we will add youthful enthusiasm to our experienced team and continue our policy of developing talent in the towns where we have stores."
