TEES Valley Unlimited has announced it is to hold a ‘Budget Live’ session as part of its Business Summit on July 8.

TVU, the area's Local Enterprise Partnership, also revealed that Philippa Snare, UK Marketing Director from Microsoft, will open the event with a speech.

Chancellor George Osborne’s emergency Budget will be broadcast live at the Summit and will be followed by a debate by an expert panel.

TVU managing director Stephen Catchpole said: “The eyes of the business community will be firmly fixed on this Budget with it being the first since the Conservatives secured an election majority following five years of coalition government.

“With the Budget being held as the same day as our Tees Valley Business Summit, it made sense to incorporate Budget Live as one of the keynote sessions.”

The Summit, a well-established networking and B2B opportunity, is back for its fourth year.

Alongside a fully-booked business exhibition, delegates will have the opportunity to attend a number of presentations and take part in a programme of workshops covering themes such as supply chain opportunities, existing funding streams and supporting your workforce. There also will be networking opportunities.

The Summit is being held at the Olympia Building at Teesside University in Middlesbrough from 8.00am to 4.00pm with ‘Budget Live’ starting at 12.15pm. It is free to attend, but delegates must register to secure their place.
