A CONSTRUCTION company which has helped to transform parts of the region is delivering its sixth major scheme since 2011.

Esh Construction, part of Durham City-based Esh Group, has worked on projects with a total value of more than £30m which form part of the regeneration of Middlesbrough and Stockton’s riversides.

The six projects the firm has worked on are:

• Middlehaven Gateway, a £7.2m, award winning joint development between Keiro and Erimus Housing providing residential therapeutic rehabilitation centre.

• Tennant Street Medical Practice, a £2.1m, three phase scheme to provide new Link Health Centre, a two-storey extension and full refurbishment of the existing practice which serves over 12,500 patients.

• Thirteen Group headquarters, £5.4m, three-storeys headquarters or this social housing provider. Sited next to the Infinity Bridge, the building provides office accommodation for over 400 staff and forms part of the £100m Northshore Riverside Regeneration Scheme.

• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Skills Centre, £7.4m, for Middlesbrough College. A three storey, steel framed building combining classrooms with workshop, production and manufacturing areas sited on reclaimed Middlehaven Dock.

• Boho 5, £3.3m, incubator offices for Middlesbrough Council. Built on a brownfield site next to Middlesbrough Dock.

• Fusion Hive, Stockton Innovation Centre, £5m, commissioned by Stockton Borough Council, to be occupied by University of Teesside.

The six schemes have been overseen by Paul Redman, Construction Director at Esh Construction and his project management team. He said:

“We are particularly proud to have boosted the regional economy by employing local people and our project management teams have contracted with regional suppliers; it’s a fundamental principal at Esh Group that we support the communities in which we work.”
