A SURGE in demand has led to a huge growth for a North-East warehousing business.

The volume of work has seen Darlington-based Lingfield Warehousing and Logistics double in size in the past three years – and the prediction is that there is much more growth to come.

In the last year alone the firm moved from occupying 200,000 sq ft to 300,000 sq ft.

Lingfield Warehousing and Logistics, which is based at Lingfield Point business park, offers a wide range of short or long-term logistics, from general storage and warehousing to document archives.

Julian Brooke, the firm's managing director, said: “It is an extremely busy time for us. Our competitive pricing and the standard of service we offer customers have led to an increase in sales over the last year.

“We now occupy more than 275,000 sq ft of Lingfield Point and have 40,000 archive boxes in storage, but there’s always plenty of room for more.

“At Lingfield Warehousing and Logistics you can rent everything from the space for one pallet, to a 100k sq ft building with a design and build team in place to create something ideally suited to each customers’ needs.”
