The venue has previously hosted a number of well-known figures, including Sir Winston Churchill, the Dalai Lama and members of the Royal Family.

The company is also working on Lumley Castle, in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, carrying out surveys to provide drawings and schedules for future maintenance, with further survey work on the tower at Sir William Turner’s Almshouses, in Kirkleatham, near Redcar.

Dave Stone, STS’ managing director, said: “Condition surveys are vital not only to highlight any immediate structural issues, but to plan for the future and provide important safety documentation for conservation and restoration purposes.

“These new projects involve delicate work on some beautiful and historic structures that must be preserved for the future and these surveys really are the most efficient way to do this.”

The company has previously worked on St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.
