A HEATING company is expanding and creating jobs after increasing turnover to £1.4m in three years.
Flame Heating Spares, in Gateshead and Dragonville, near Durham City, is opening a third trade counter.
Founded by managing director John Savage in 2011, it supplies boiler parts and renewable technology, and hopes to move into its new site in the autumn.
The firm employs seven workers, but aims to take on more staff this year.
Mr Savage said: “We have had a fantastic first three years, putting our experience into establishing the company as a major name in the North-East heating trade.
“Our second counter in Durham has allowed us to start the growth of our chain across the region and we are looking forward to tying up the third site in the autumn.
“This is something I have wanted to do for a long time and it is hugely rewarding to be continuing this growth, employing more people across more branches.”
