A DIY firm says it hopes to create 150 North-East jobs at a new store in the region.

The Range is moving into the former Focus DIY base in Benton, North Tyneside.

The company says it will create about 150 full-time and part-time roles, including management positions and warehouse and administration staff.

Chris Dawson, who owns and runs the business, said: “We are growing fast and I’m confident Benton will help us continue that.”

The company already has stores in Stockton and Hartlepool.
