A BUSINESS apprentice is reaping the benefit of her hard work after securing an office job with a council.

Hannah Burton is working for Redcar and Cleveland Council after completing an advanced business and administration apprenticeship.

The 20-year-old, who studied at Redcar and Cleveland College, is now working as a business support assistant. She said: “Doing an apprenticeship has given me so many opportunities. Both my employers and the college were so supportive, and the course was very relevant to my job in the office.”

Julie Whiteley, the college’s NVQ assessor, said: “I’m not surprised Hannah has been taken on permanently. She was a star student and had exactly the right attitude.”
