A WHEEL renovation company is creating new North-East jobs as it expands into a new base.
Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels, in Westerhope, North Tyneside, is opening a site in Cannon Park, Middlesbrough.
Bosses say the venture will create up to ten new jobs.
The firm was founded 18 months ago and offers wheel repairs and improvements, including a specialist process that adds diamond cut finishes.
Stephen Lee, the company's owner, said it had benefited from a noticeable shift in market trends.
“Previously it was only the really top end cars that had this kind of finish on the wheels.
“But manufacturers have seen in the last few years how much more stylish it makes the vehicle look.
“We’ve also seen a huge increase in customers wanting this process used to repair a wheel, rather than pay for a new one.
“The quality of the workmanship coupled with a 24-hour service means we have been able to grow rapidly, and we're sure Teesside will be just as successful as Newcastle.”
