A NORTH-EAST firm launched as a web design company spin-off has expanded and is creating new jobs.
Mobile Rockit, in Stockton, allows businesses to build apps, such as booking forms, and mobile versions of websites.
The company has now moved into the education sector, working with Dr Craig Small, an educational psychologist, and teacher Craig Wilkie.
The pair aim to introduce apps to schools as a key part of learning.
Dr Small said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to help schools develop a fun and engaging system that will positively improve education.
“Mobile Rockit's support has been great and we’re excited for its future and the part we are playing.”
Founded by Koodoo Creative, Mobile Rockit has also added Linzi Wilkinson to its sales team and is set to take on another worker.
Adam Lee, who owns the company with business partner Sam Whisker, added: “It’s extremely exciting to be expanding outside of our native North-East and into wider UK markets.”
