A MAKER of life-saving gas analysis equipment, is planning to double the size of its engineering design team in 2014, creating up to nine new jobs.

Analox Group, which is based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, is working on a number of new projects for which it needs to expand its engineering manpower.

The company is advertising seven new posts, including three graduate roles and a new apprenticeship. It also expects to announce more new jobs in 2014.

The new recruits will join a company which has recruited 10 new members of staff in the second half of 2013, bringing its total number of employees to 52.

Its recent recruits, working in departments including sales, marketing, production and R&D, include two apprentices.  Holly King has joined Analox as Apprentice Operations Administrator, while Jack Price is Apprentice R&D technician.

Mr Price, 19, from Acklam in Middlesbrough, completed his A-levels in summer 2013, and is now rapidly learning new skills on the job, as well as attending college one day each week to study mechanical engineering.

He said: “Working for Analox is a challenge, and I’m enjoying every minute.  Not only do my colleagues teach me new skills, they’re also keen to listen to my ideas.  I’m the newest team member, but my contribution and input is always valued.  It’s also amazing to be working on the range of projects coming into the company.”

Julie Cole, HR manager for Analox Group, said: “This is a really exciting time for Analox Group, and we’re hoping to attract graduates and experienced engineers to work for us, and to further their careers with us."

Analox Group develops and manufactures gas analysis and breathing-air monitoring solutions for a number of markets, including the military, commercial and sport diving, hospitality businesses and a wide range of industry. It has also recently begun supplying agricultural markets.
