FOUR investment management trainees have been taken on by wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin, as part of its commitment to support talent in the region.
Following an extensive selection process involving many applicants, Peter Douglas from Hexham; Northumbria University graduate Oliver York; Matthew Worton from Marske, near Redcar; and Tom Daniels from Swansea, were chosen to join Brewin Dolphin’s Investment Training Programme based at its office in Newcastle.
Over the next three years, they will work closely with the firm’s leading investment managers and financial planners to obtain their Investment Advice Diploma and Masters in Wealth Management qualifications, with Brewin Dolphin’s support.
These qualifications will enable them to join the firm's large North-East team of wealth management experts, who specialise in providing investment advice to private clients, charities and pension funds.
Mr Worton joins the firm, having recently graduated with a 2:1 in law, from Newcastle University.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting stuck into my training and working alongside the many experienced and skilled individuals here as my career develops.”
Brewin Dolphin divisional director, John Duns, said: “As a leading firm, committed to the region, we are delighted to welcome to our growing team four outstanding and talented individuals who will support our continuing success. We wish them well in their future careers here at Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle.”
