Oil Consultants, in Washington, appoints Gareth Allen to oversee Middle-East and African work
AN award-winning oil and gas recruitment specialist has added to its workforce again as it looks to build on record growth and continue its global expansion.
The firm, which employs 42 people, was founded in 1999 by oil industry workers and has more than 16,000 consultants on its books working for companies across the world.
It has doubled staff numbers and turnover in the last two years, setting up operations in Australia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Norway, and bosses say Mr Allen will also work across India, Pakistan and Bangladesh providing customer and business development support.
Earlier this year, the company picked up its second Queen's Award for Enterprise in international trade.
Mr Allen said: “I'm thrilled to have this kind of opportunity with a company that is going places.
“Their expansion into Australia has been very successful and I would like to create the same kind of results across the well-established fields of the Middle East to emerging markets in Africa.”
Helen Smith, Oil Consultants' chief executive, said: “Gareth comes to us with a strong background in recruiting for this industry and we're confident he will become a key part of our future plans.
“Thanks to his input we are already looking towards increasing our network of agents in the region and establishing our own office and team in the next year.”
