Marmax Products, in Stanley, County Durham, works with potato firm Glens of Antrim
A NORTH-EAST business, which makes recycled plastic outdoor furniture, fencing, and boardwalks, has received the luck of the Irish after securing a contract to work with a well-known potato supplier.
Marmax Products, in Stanley, County Durham, supplied Glens of Antrim Potatoes, based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, with 120 boxes to store its range of products.
The company's products are sold on the shelves of Sainsbury's Marks and Spencer and Asda across Ireland, and bosses say the boxes will replace wooden containers.
Tracey Scott, Marmax sales and marketing manager, said: “Glens is an award-winning business which is always seeking new ways to improve its products and these boxes have saved more than 270,000 milk containers from going to landfill.”
