A NORTH-EAST company could be exporting goods to Sweden after a successful trade visit.
Bespoke Concrete, in Prudhoe, in Northumberland, has signed up to UK Trade and Investment scheme to allow novice exporters a foothold in wider European markets.
The firm joined 20 companies on a three-day UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) visit to Stockholm, which allowed companies to test the marketplace without placing large financial commitments.
They met representatives from Business Sweden and a range of Swedish companies, who are interested in working with UK firms.
Martin Kay, managing director of Bespoke Concrete, which specialises in custom made pre-cast concrete products, said it would be signing up to UKTI's Passport to Export service, which gives firms help to succeed overseas.
He said: “We haven’t exported our products before but after visiting Sweden and seeing the amount of construction work, it's a place where our products will easily fit in.
“The visit was a very positive experience and way over-exceeded and we are going to sign up to Passport to Export.”
