BUSINESSES in Hartlepool are being encouraged to apply for a share of £30m Government funding.
The Let's Grow project, which has been backed by enterprise partnership, Tees Valley Unlimited, allows companies to bid for cash grants from £50,000 to £1m to help with expansion and create new jobs.
Stuart Drummond, mayor of Hartlepool, has urged firms to apply for funding.
He said: “This is a significant pot of money and I would like to see Hartlepool companies getting their fair share.
“In the current economic climate, businesses need all the help and support they can get and this is a fantastic opportunity to help local companies grow.”
Mr Drummond said any companies interested in applying for funding should contact Hartlepool Council's Economic Regeneration Team on 01429-523505.
