A NORTH-EAST clothing company has announced plans to create 60 new jobs.
Barbour, which is famous for its waxed jackets, is looking to recruit 20 machinists to work on its new production line at its factory in South Shields.
The firm is also looking for warehouse workers and customer service staff to help handle increased demand in the company, which exports its clothing and footwear to more than 40 countries across the world.
It is holding a jobs fair on Friday, March 15, in South Shields Town Hall, from 10am until 3pm.
Brenda Readman-Bell, Barbour finance director, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who would like a career in manufacturing.
“People can come down and have a chat could find the role they have been looking for.”
