THE chairman of a North-East offshore energy parts manufacturer has stood down from his role.
David Eason founded TAG Energy Solutions in 2006, and was responsible for the regeneration of its Haverton Hill site, in Billingham, near Stockton.
The company supplies foundations and accommodation modules for offshore wind farms at its multi-million plant and last year spent £23m to increase assembly areas to build substation platforms.
Mr Eason has stepped down as TAG chairman but will remain in his role as founding shareholder.
He said: “I'm delighted with all that TAG has achieved over the years and its on-going success is of paramount importance to me.
“Having redeveloped the Haverton Hill site from its humble beginnings to the fantastic, state-of-the-art facility and put in place the world-class management team it now boasts, it is something I can take huge pride in.”
Mr Eason has been succeeded as chairman by Mike Foster, a former chief executive of engineering company Charter International.
He said: “I'm pleased to welcome Mike Foster as TAG's new chairman and firmly believe that his knowledge, experience and understanding of the industry will be a significant benefit to the company and its management team.”
