Durham Aged Mineworkers' Association picks up Investors in People silver standard

A NORTH-EAST housing association has won a national award for its service.

Durham Aged Mineworkers' Home Association (DAMHA) has been awarded the Investors in People silver standard.

Founded in 1898, DAMHA has around 1,700 properties providing retirement housing for more than 2,000 residents across the region.

Paul Mullis, DAMHA chief executive, said: “This is a major achievement for us and puts us among only one per cent of companies in the UK who are assessed to receive it.”
