LOVE could be in the air for North-East singletons on Valentine's Day after the launch of an online dating programme.
The Would Love 2 app, co-created by Teesside digital entrepreneur, Dan Kolodziej, matches people to others on their Facebook contacts who they want to get to know better.
The app, which can be used on iPhone and Google Android smart phones, allows a person to download their entire Facebook contact list giving them the chance to choose a friend they like.
Their selection remains anonymous and if the object of their affection selects them, an alert will be sent to both their phones.
Mr Kolodziej, who previously worked for British American Tobacco and was a national sales and products manager for ABB Electrical, said: “Our app is very inclusive and has been devised as a way to to take the rejection out of dating.
“You might be hesitant about declaring a romantic interest in someone you know when it’s all out in the open, but this way you can find out if they feel the same with no risk, and if the feeling isn’t mutual the person in question will never know.”
The app can be found on Facebook and Twitter and at wouldlove2.com
