Survey reveals positive outlook for job market

THE number of permanent staff placements has increased across the North of England, according to a new report.
A survey by KPMG showed fixed job roles rose in January, though the rate of growth was the slowest in four months.
Recruitment agencies have reported the North of England seeing increased demand for permanent and temporary staff.
Mick Thompson, KPMG'S Newcastle office senior partner, said: “The hiring figures for January should give employers and employees in the region plenty of reasons to be cheerful.”
