A SPECIALIST renewable energy firm has completed one of the biggest solar power projects in the North of England.
Think Renewable Energy, based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has fitted 790 solar panels in a 190kW scheme for Fridlington Farms in Sutton-on-the-Forest, near York.
Jamie Warden, Think's operations director, said: “Fridlington Farms is a major energy user and the electricity generated will help reduce operating costs.
“It is increasingly the case that big name firms, keen to reduce their carbon footprint, prefer their suppliers to use green energy and this has certainly been an influencing factor.”
