A CREATIVE design company has marked its third anniversary with three milestones.

Purple Creative Studio, on the outskirts of Richmond, North Yorkshire, has doubled staff numbers, moved into spacious modern offices and rebranded.

Established by Phil Upton and Allan Guy to provide web-based consultancy, the company’s services have grown to such an extent that it has taken on two graduates.

The appointments are helping the firm to provide extended consultancy services including Google apps for business and ondemand cloud services, which will complement the branding and printed media side of its portfolio.

Mr Upton said: “Between us, Allan and I have around 45 years of creative design and IT experience on which we have built the reputation of the company.

“However, things are moving very fast in this area and we wanted to recruit members of staff who not only have creative skills but are bang up-to-date with the latest technological developments.

“We are very excited about the future, as the rapidly changing landscape of information technology continues to bring new opportunities and smarter ways of working for us and our clients.”

Both of the new recruits are from the area. Andrew Birks, 23, has a degree in applied computing. Wil Jones, 21, joined on an internship and was given a permanent position in September.

The company has changed its name from Purple Creative Services to Purple Creative Studio, and has moved into a studio on Aske Stables business park, on the outskirts of Richmond.
