AN insurance broker has reported rapid growth three years after setting up in the region.

Since it opened at Preston Farm Business Park, Stockton, Henderson Insurance Brokers Teesside has increased staff numbers from two to 35 and its annual turnover now stands at £16m.

Henderson is continuing its recruitment drive with its newly-acquired private wealth division looking for two paraplanners. Earlier this year, the company expanded its business portfolio with the acquisition of one of the North-East’s leading firms of independent financial advisors.

Arlington, which handles the finances of many wealthy North-East individuals and businesses with a portfolio in excess of £100m for both individual and business clients, is now is known as Henderson Private Wealth.

Jonathan Willett, of Henderson, said: “Henderson Insurance Teesside is bucking the current economic climate and has established a strong footing in the area.

“With a strong focus on excellence and customer service, we have achieved significant growth during the past three years and this is set to continue in the future.”

He added: “I am confident our teams will continue to build on the steady progress that the company has made since it opened on Teesside.”

The company recently upgraded its offices at George Stephenson Court, Westland Way.
