A LAW firm has strengthened its property team with a number of appointments.

Square One Law, in Newcastle, says the expansion comes after increased demand from clients.

The company’s property division previously acted on the £20m acquisition of Gorsebrook Industrial Park, in Dagenham, and subsequent letting of the whole site to Eddie Stobart Limited.

Its new members of staff include Michael Shuker, a senior associate who specialises in property finance, and commercial property lawyer Helen Warren.

The firm added Malcolm Wood will join in January.

He specialises in acting for both investors and occupiers in the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties.

Residential conveyancing partner Francesca Angelucci has also joined.

Barney Frith, head of property, said: “I am very excited by the potential of the team.

“They are highly-skilled and experienced lawyers and we will be able to offer an even better service to our clients.

“Our ethos is to put clients at the heart of all we do and we now have a really experienced property team who will get involved and build strong relationships.”
