HEALTH and social care law firm Hempsons has announced the promotion of two associates to partner in the firm’s Harrogate office, along with the promotion of a senior solicitor to associate.

The new partners are Wai-Cheung Pang and Richard Pickering.

Karen Kendall-Smith has moved to the position of associate.

Promotions have been rewarded to a total of nine individuals within Hempsons, which also has offices at Forth Banks in Newcastle, as well as Manchester and London.

Janice Barber, managing partner for Hempsons, said: “At Hempsons we encourage, enable and admire personal development and growth.

"Each of the individuals have been promoted as a result of hard work, ensuring they put their clients at the forefront of everything they do and enabling us as a firm to offer our clients the highest quality of service at all times.”

The promotions follow the firm being named the Legal Advisor of The Year at the HealthInvestor Awards for transitional work within the public sector along with achieving Investors In People Gold Status in March 2014.
