A LAW firm has strengthened its team with the appointment of two solicitors as associates.

Archers Law, in Stockton, has promoted Wendy Edwards within its wills, probates and trusts team, and Patrick Quigley within its commercial property team.

Miss Edwards, who joined the company in 2006, specialises in the preparation of wills, power of attorney, probate and care fee planning.

Last year, she became the third member of Archers’ wills, probates and trusts division to be accepted into the Solicitors for the Elderly professional body, and is also learning sign language to help clients with hearing difficulties.

She said: “It’s great to become an associate within wills, probate and trusts.

“It is a service very important to Archers as we continue to help clients who need advice on planning for the future and managing their estates.”

Mr Quigley, who joined Archers in 2008, is recognised as a top tier lawyer in The Legal 500 for commercial property work.

He has more than ten years’ experience in commercial property, specifically in relation to landlords and tenants and acting for businesses across the retail and industrial sectors.

He added: “I'm honoured to be offered the position of associate, it’s encouraging to be recognised by the firm for the work we do.”
