NFU survey to find out about grain storage
ARABLE farmers are being
asked to help map the region's
grain storage facilities.
The North-East NFU and English
Farming and Food Partnerships
want to assess the level of
grain stores to decide whether
centralised stores may be needed.
Louise White, NFU regional
crops advisor, said they want to
ensure farmers in Yorkshire and
the North-East can take full advantage
of all grain marketing
opportunities.
A short and confidential questionnaire
asks members what
crops they grow, where they are
stored and dried, the age and type
of any on farm storage and if
they plan new facilities.
Phone 01904-451-550 for copies
and information.
