Nothing fishy about Foxcover letting!

A PRE-LET of 135,000 sq ft of industrial space has been agreed with seafood company Cumbrian Holdings Ltd at Foxcover Distribution Park in Seaham, County Durham.

The deal, which achieved a headline rent of £4.75 per sq ft, was completed by King Sturge International Property Consultants, who also let a 125,087 sq ft unit to the company last spring.

Cumbrian Holdings provides a range of fresh fish and seafood products to some of the UK's leading retailers and is now expanding its operations at the Foxcover site.

Foxcover Distribution Park, developed by Grantside, is rapidly becoming one of Seaham's real success stories. It it is already home to big names such as Robertson's Timber Kit, Yearsley and ISL cold storage.

Steve Davis, managing director at Grantside, said: "Foxcover's prime location initially attracted Cumbrian Holdings as it offers unrivalled transport links with close proximity to the A19 and the newly-constructed port at Seaham.

"We are now delighted to be providing the company with an additional new build to house their expanding business needs, including extensive car-parking facilities to cater for their labour intensive manufacturing operation."

The success of the business park, combined with substantial improvements to the Seaham area, are highly significant in contributing to raising the profile of Seaham as an attractive location for businesses looking to relocate.

Following the success of the first phase of development at Foxcover a further two units of 37,000 sq ft and 62,000 sq ft have now been completed, which are available to let.
