DIGITALCITY business (DCB) is launching a new community led event of leading tech companies.

North East New Tech (NENT) is designed to bring the regions digital community together, to socialise, network and show-and-tell new technology, designs and ideas.

A mix of the regions hottest and exciting tech start-ups, developers and designers will be getting together at the very first NENT meet up on Monday July 18 at Digital City's Boho One in Middlesbrough.

The event aims to encourage interaction with Q&As and opportunities to share. Other speakers on the evening include: Paul Rawlings, CEO of Screen Reach, Kevin Mann and Rachel Burns, co-founders of Audacious and Ross Linnet, CEO of Recite Me.

Mark South, director of cluster development at DCB said: "There is genuine silicon valley level technological innovation and ambition around us. NE New Tech is designed to give opportunities for those involved to put their hand up, interact, share and have a voice. A commercially strong industry can only be as successful as the community of people that are there to make it happen."

The event runs from 6.30pm to 10.00pm and includes food and refreshments. It is free to attend and open to anyone.
