A FIRM of financial advisors is hoping to move up to the next level after being bought by one of the North’s leading businesses in the financial services sector.

Pace Financial Solutions, of Bishop Auckland, which employs 12 staff and has a turnover of £1.25m, is now the North-East office of Leedsbased Pearson Jones Plc, which has bought the business that was founded in 1986.

The Bishop Auckland office has been rebranded by Pearson Jones, a wealth management firm that advises more than 2,000 clients and 500 businesses with total funds under management of more than £1bn.

Pace Financial Solutions senior consultant, Peter Schofield said: “This is an excellent move for us and our clients, which will have significant benefits for both through being part of a bigger team with a wider range of expertise.”

The firm originally had offices in Barnard Castle and Yarm, near Stockton.
