STRICKEN consumer finance firm Cattles yesterday said about 450 jobs were under threat at its Welcome Finance business.
The firm, based in Batley, West Yorkshire, is winding down the Welcome loan book after failing to agree a deal with its creditors to restart lending last December.
The company is cutting costs across the Welcome business and plans to close about 70 local branches and collection units nationwide.
