NEXT month companies can learn how to get involved with the firm behind the creation of the world’s biggest offshore wind turbine.
A Meet the Buyer event is being held with Clipper Windpower Marine, owner of the Britannia Project, which is developing a 10MW offshore wind turbine design.
Clipper is creating 60 jobs through the opening of a specialist plant in Wallsend where parts of the Britannia Project will be made.
The event has been organised by regional development agency One North East, and will be held at Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park Stadium on Thursday, from 8.30am.
Companies can learn more about how to get involved with Clipper, as well as finding out more about the offshore wind sector, which is expected to help create 70,000 new jobs across the UK in the next 15 years.
To register, contact Clare McDermott at One North East on 0191-229-6500.
