Club teams up with designers for winning campaign

CRICKET champions Durham have joined a North-East design company to help promote next season’s campaigns.

Durham County Cricket Club, which recently achieved national glory by winning the County Championship for the second successive year, has teamed up with Newcastlebased Creative Image Design to devise a range of campaigns to launch the Twenty20 season and the 2010 County Championship.

The campaigns will be geared towards making cricket more appealing to young people and to promote the Durham Dynamos one-day team.

The club said it was hopeful that this season it would be able to secure more than 5,000 members for the first time. This coming season will also be the first time fans have been able to buy a Twenty20 season ticket.

Mark Foster, director of marketing for the club, said: “The designs they have come up with are extremely impressive and we think that with their support we can get 5,000 members for the first time.

“The Twenty20 season ticket is something new for next season and we are totally confident that this will allow us to launch this successfully.”

Ross Carr, director of Creative Image Design, said the contract was important for the company.

“We’re proud to be working with the club as they go for a hat-trick of championship trophies next year,” he said.
