A SPECIALIST software company is bucking the recession with rapid expansion plans and a prediction of a 30 per cent growth this year.

Northumberland business Tagish has seen a significant increase in demand from customers in the public and private sectors for its specialist complaints and customer feedback software.

As well as working in the UK, it is making its first steps into the European market by winning two major contracts.

And Tagish, from Alnwick, is reflecting that growth through five recent appointments to its team, and the potential for more to follow.

Managing director of Tagish Andrew Fisk said: “We’ve seen a surge of UK public and private sector clients commissioning our software in the first quarter of this year and we have also begun to make inroads into the European market by winning contracts with Expedia and SNCF.

“In order to respond to this increased demand the company has recently recruited staff in the business development, sales and marketing and professional services teams.”
