AN event will examine how charities can continue to raise funds during the economic crisis.
The Maintaining Income and Donations during the Recession seminar at Lingfield Point, Darlington, on Thursday, will feature high-profile panellists from the sector.
Ros Harwood, a leading charity lawyer for Dickinson Dees, in Stockton will be joined by Dawn Carney, TFM’s charity manager, Andrew Drake, county manager for the Royal British Legion Northumbria, in Tyne and Wear, and Heather O’Driscoll, a partner who specialises in charities at Tees Valley accountants Horwath Clark Whitehill.
Members of the audience will be able to listen to a debate led by Peter Olsen, of Housing Hartlepool, and put questions to the panel.
Ms O’Driscoll said: “It is a difficult time for all business sectors but we want to address the concerns facing the charities and help them to continue providing outstanding service and goodwill to so many people.”
