Park creating jobs

A BUSINESS development in County Durham, which has the potential to create dozens of jobs, is nearing completion.

B and K Developments is building 20 business units at City West Business Park, Meadowfield Industrial Estate, in Durham.

The project, made possible after the company struck a deal to buy land from development agency One North- East, is the latest in a series of developments breathing life into the area.

Billy Morgan, managing director of Washington-based B and K Developments, said: "We are really excited about the potential of this development, which is starting to take shape."

Each two-storey unit includes offices, a manager's office and conference facilities.

A bistro is being created on the site.

B and K Developments was founded in July 2005 by husband and wife Billy and Karon Morgan.

Before 2005, the company, which employs three people, operated for more than 20 years as W Morgan Builders, and was involved in the construction of Bowburn Nursing Home and Chilton Care Centre in the county
