A ROOF insulation company known for supporting a North-East leisure complex aims to double turnover again after a strong year.

TaperedPlus is pushing to extend its market presence as international demand provides fresh momentum.

The business, based in Stockton, says its progress has been helped by the launch of a mobile app, which officials use to provide quotes for work and monitor projects.

They added the app, due to be upgraded later this month to accommodate a photo function, has generated enquiries from the US, Canada and Middle East.

Libby Clemot-Escobar, the business’ newly-appointed sales and marketing manager, said: “The building industry is still very old-fashioned with many enquiries coming through on bits of paper.

“The app increases efficiency by streamlining all information needed, while still being easy to use.

“Through this, we are able to provide accurate quotations and specifications as early as possible within the design process.”

However, the tapered insulation provider, which played a part in the development of Darlington’s Feethams cinema and restaurant complex, says it expects to improve services further.

Bosses have pointed to its improved app’s picture function, which will allow users to upload roof sketches and access an existing project database to track quotes.

Aman Chahal, a director at TaperedPlus alongside Robert Vass, added: “We are innovation leaders in our field by incorporating modern technology into everything we do to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

“Following investment, including research and development, and creating the app, I’m proud to see this deliver results in doubling our turnover, which we expect to repeat in the next year.”
