A PROPERTY conservation firm is on the expansion trail after moving to a new base.

BCS Preservation Limited has taken office space at Darlington’s Business Central.

The company, known for running a site on Darlington’s Cleveland Industrial Estate, is also looking to recruit a surveyor to maintain its progress.

The business, founded by Aaron and Michelle Davidson, delivers services to rectify property concerns such as damp proofing and cavity wall tie replacement, and carries out work for surveyors, local authorities, letting agents and homeowners.

It previously secured a deal to provide damp proofing and timber treatment for 21,000 homes and commercial properties across North Yorkshire with Richmondshire District Council.

However, Ms Davidson said Business Central will provide a strong platform for the company to continue its growth.

She said: “Aaron and I felt we needed office space that would allow us to take a step back from some of the areas that distract us from the main aspects of managing the business.

“We also required additional space as the team starts to increase.

“Over the next 12 months we are confident we will be able to maintain a steady growth.

“There are opportunities for us outside the UK but that’s something to explore in the future.

“Right now, we are happy as we are.”

Operated by North-East Business Innovation Centre, Business Central has been backed with funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Officials previously revealed they hoped it will support the creation of at least 25 new businesses and more than 300 jobs over the next 15 years.

Vanessa Wood, centre manager, added: “I’m delighted we have been able to accommodate another growing business in Darlington.”
