A PRODUCTION company has reached an historic milestone.

3 Point Media, based at Lingfield Point in Darlington, has completed its 1,500th video.

The company was formed 11 years ago by producer Michael Weadock, editor and director Xavier Davidson and cameraman Dan Whaler, who worked together at Middlesbrough Football Club’s cable television station Boro TV, before its demise.

“We are very proud to have reached this landmark” said Mr Weadock.

“It’s obviously an increasingly competitive field, but we like to think we can offer a little bit more than most.”

As well as their work with 3 Point Media, the trio carry out a range of freelance work at major international sporting events.

Mr Weadock spent the summer working at the Rio Olympics, where he interviewed Great Britain’s gold medal winning golfer Justin Rose.

Mr Davidson worked at the 2014 football World Cup in Brazil as well as two Champions League Finals and the London Olympics, whilst Mr Whaler recently travelled to Hong Kong to film a Formula E race.

“We are fortunate to have the business but are also able to find the time for our freelance work” said Mr Weadock.

“It also means that we are aware of the latest developments in broadcasting and we bring that understanding to bear when we work with our clients” he added.
