A COST management company has unveiled plans to create 150 jobs as it bids to expand across the UK.

Great Annual Savings Group says it needs more workers to maintain its expansion.

The firm, based at Seaham’s Spectrum Business Park, in County Durham, helps businesses reduce costs and save money across areas such as energy, fire safety, telecoms and insurance.

Bosses say the 150 staff will help them take their workforce to at least 300 by this time next year.

Bradley Groves, chief executive and chairman, revealed the firm has also secured a number of new contracts and swelled its customer base from 800 to almost 1,500.

He added: “We are ready to embark on the next phase of growth as we move towards our goal of becoming a nationally-recognised company.

“We’re becoming well-known in the North-East and the aim now is to increase our footprint in other areas of the UK.”

Great Annual Savings’ deals include a contract with Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Club, near Durham City, which bosses expect will cut costs by £250,000.

Its jobs plan is another boost for Spectrum Business Park, which has welcomed call centre operator ResQ.

That business says it will create 1,200 jobs at the Seaham site as it looks to take advantage of new contracts and work being returned from abroad.
