A TECHNOLOGY firm has secured a deal with an emergency home repair business.

Waymark says it has licensed an innovative software system to HomeServe Alliance, a growing national network of gas heating specialists.

Bosses say HomeServe’s franchising business will use the software, known as Wayforce.

Steve Emmerson, HomeServe Alliance Franchising’s Darlington-based managing director, said he was delighted with the deal.

He said: “The product was exactly what we were looking for.

“It’s simple to use and able to do all the things we need it to, giving our franchisee’s access to all the information they require.

“The software is vital to the business so it had to be right, every job in the business will be in the database.

“Waymark are a growing company and we’re sure they’ll help our franchising business grow too.”

Paul Lofthouse, commerical director at Waymark, which is based in Gateshead, added: “Wayforce will enable HomeServe to manage its complex operations more efficiently and make the job of franchisees far easier.

“It will take care of administration functions, such as booking appointments and sending out invoices, and it is easy to use.”

Waymark was founded three years ago by managing director David Brophy and development director Jason Thomas Jones, with Mr Lofthouse joining later.

It began developing software for utility services, but has expanded into the education, health, logistics and commercial sectors.
