Agency offers free courses for Dales businesses

A SOUTH Durham enterprise group is running a series of free training courses for Dales businesses.

The Teesdale and Wear Valley Enterprise Agency, which has offices and business advisors in Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle, is offering courses in enterprise skills, management and business development, all of which are free to Teesdale and Wear Valley-based companies. Enterprise Essentials is a course aimed at people who have no experience of being self-employed or running a business and includes training in setting up a small business.

An introduction to first line management, is a five-week course, which begins on Friday and has places for 15 businesses. The certificate in first line management course is a one-year programme beginning on March 9 and also has places for 15 businesses.

The business development programme is an informal course and begins on March 7. Call 01388-776688.
