SIX new faces have joined North-East accountancy firm Tait Walker.

The new recruits will work across a number of different divisions of the business, which now employs 143 staff across its offices in Newcastle, Northumberland and Tees Valley.

The new joiners are; Deborah Trelease as financial planner, Nicola Edmondson as tax manager, Jon Archer as business services manager, whilst Siobhan Hooper and Craig Patterson join as business services executives. IT graduate Victoria Johnson has also joined.

The announcement follows Tait Walker’s reaccreditation of the Gold Investors in People Award, putting it in the top 1 per cent of UK businesses holding the IIP accreditation. Achieving the gold standard demonstrates the firm’s continued commitment it’s staff and their development.

Tait Walker’s managing partner, Andrew Moorby said: “We place huge emphasis on bringing the right people into our business – we are always looking for locally based specialists who can work well in a team.

“Despite these recent additions we remain determined to strengthen our team further. Various parts of the practice are very busy and continue to see strong growth, particularly within our corporate finance department. I’d encourage anyone considering a career in this area to get in touch – we are always looking to recruit good people across the firm.”

This recent wave of recruitment marks a significant investment for Tait Walker, who made 15 appointments alone in 2013, further cementing its position as a front runner on the North-East accountancy scene.
