    I RESPECTFULLY suggest that P Ainsley (HAS, Jan 28) checks his facts before making spurious remarks condemning me. My reason for becoming a local politician was because I am proud of Willington and most of its residents and felt I could achieve more as a councillor for their mutual benefit. read more

It states that any MP would be elected by at least 50 per cent of constituents; should that not have read “by at least 50 per cent of the total percentage of constituents who actually voted”? read more
