ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (BLACKWELL ROAD JUNCTION TO NEASHAM ROAD JUNCTION) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Darlington, to enable lane extension, road sign improvement, road marking, carriageway resurfacing, tactile paving and minor reconstruction works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Sunday 4 March 2018 for 27 days, or until completed and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be, at times during the works, to close the A66:
(i) eastbound and westbound carriageways including all laybys between the A167 Blands Corner Roundabout and Neasham Road Roundabout, a distance of 2400 metres; and

(ii) eastbound and westbound carriageways from Blackwell Road Junction to its junction with Blands Corner Roundabout, a distance of 300 metres.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. The Order comes into force on 3 March 2018 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD
(BLANDS CORNER ROUNDABOUT TO THE
B6279 LINGFIELD POINT ROUNDABOUT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Darlington, in County Durham, to enable road marking works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Sunday 4 March 2018 for 14 days, or until completed. The effect of the Order will be to close, between 7pm and 7am, the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways from its junction with the A167 (Blands Corner Roundabout) to its junction with the B6279 (Lingfield Point Roundabout), a distance of 6500 metres; During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. It will be necessary to close, for 24 hours a day, for the duration of the works, the laybys adjacent to the above A66 eastbound and westbound carriageway. The Order comes into force on 3 March 2018 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
