NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) (VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF RICHMONDSHIRE) ORDER 2018
NOTICE is hereby given that on 19/02/18 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce speed limits on various roads in the District of Richmondshire, as specified below:-
20 mph Speed Limit Zone (Middleton Tyas)
C6, Middleton Tyas Lane and C46, School Bank - From a point 33 metres west of the centre line of the junction of Smithgutter Lane with the C6, to a point 136 metres south of the centre line of the junction of the unclassified eastern spur of School Bank with the C46 (a total distance of 602 metres); C46, Kneeton Lane - From its junction with the C6, Middleton Tyas Lane, north westwards to a point 26 metres north of its junction with the centre line of the car part of Middleton Tyas Church of England Primary School (measured along the eastern kerb line); Unclassified road known locally as "The Slough" - From its junction with the C6, Middleton Tyas Lane, in an easterly direction for a distance of 207 metres; C6, The Gunnel - For its entire length; C6, Five Hills Lane - From its junction with Kneeton Lane, eastwards for a distance of 110 metres; Unclassified eastern spur of School Bank - From its junction with the C46, School Bank, eastwards to a point immediately to the east of the boundary of the property known as "Low Beck"; Unclassified road Smithgutter Lane - From its junction with the C6, Middleton Tyas Lane, southwards for a total distance of 1230 metres; Park View/ Oakfields/Cumberland Gardens - For their entire length.
30 mph Speed Limit (Brompton-on-Swale/Middleton Tyas)
B6271, Station Road/Richmond Road, Brompton-on-Swale - From a point 23 metres east of the eastern side of the A1(T) Overbridge (measured along the northern kerb line), westwards to a point 244 metres east of its junction with the centre line of Parkgate Lane (measured along the northern kerb line); B6272, Bridge Road, Brompton-on-Swale - From a point 45 metres east of the eastern side of the A1(T) Overbridge (measured along the southern kerb line), westwards to its junction with the B6271; C6, Middleton Tyas Lane, Middleton Tyas - From a point 33 metres west of the centre line of the junction of Smithgutter Lane, to a point 54 metres west of the centre line of West Close; C6, Five Hills Lane, Middleton Tyas - From a point 110 metres east of its junction with Kneeton Lane, in an easterly direction for a distance of 123 metres; C46, Kneeton Lane, Middleton Tyas - From a point 26 metres north west of its junction with the centre line of the car park of Middleton Tyas Church of England Primary School, north westwards for a distance of 133.5 metres (measured along the eastern kerb line); C46, Moulton Lane, Middleton Tyas -From a point136 metres south ofthe centre line ofthe junction ofthe unclassified eastern spur of School Bank with the C46, to a point immediately to the north of its junction with the unclassified road which leads to St Michael and All Angels Church; Unclassified road Cow Lane, Middleton Tyas - From a point immediately to the east of the boundary of the property known as "Low Beck", easterly for a distance of 403 metres.
40 mph Speed Limit (Brompton-on-Swale/Catterick Bridge Area/Middleton Tyas) B6271, Station Road - From a point 23 metres east of the eastern side of the deck of the A1(M) (measured along the northern kerb line), eastwards to its junction with the A6055, Gatherley Road; B6272, Bridge Road - From a point 45 metres east of the eastern side of the deck of the A1(M) (measured along the southern kerb line), eastwards to its junction with the A6055, Gatherley Road; B6271 (Road to Scorton) - From its junction with the A6055, Gatherley Road, for a distance of 297 metres in an easterly direction (measured along the northern kerb line); A6055 (towards Scotch Corner) - From its junction with the A6055, GatherleyRoad, westwards for a distance of365 metres (measured along the centre line); A6055, Gatherley Road/Catterick Road - From the northernmost termination point of Gatherley Road, south westwards to a point 90 metres south west of its junction with the centre line of the vehicular access to 'Thornbrough Farm'; Leeming Lane - From its junction with the A6055, south eastwards to a point 37 metres south east of its junction with the centre line of the southernmost vehicular access to the property known as 'Field House'; C6, Middleton Tyas Lane, Middleton Tyas - From a point 68 metres north east of Scotch Corner roundabout, for a distance of 543 metres in a north easterly direction; Local Access Road towards Moulton, Middleton Tyas - From its junction with Middleton Tyas Lane, southwards for a distance of 65 metres (measured along the centre line).
Derestricted Roads (A6136/A6055 South of Scotch Corner) A6108 - From its junction with the roundabout at the junction with the A6055, south westwards for 50 metres (measured along the centre line); A6055 - So much of the same as is formed by the roundabout at its junction with the A6108; From its junction with the roundabout at the junction with the A6108, south eastwards for 70 metres (measured along the centre line) and; From its junction with the roundabout at the junction with the A6108, northwards to its junction with the A1(M)/A66(T) Interchange.
