(FOOTPATH NO. 24 MORDON PARISH, NORTH FARM, ELSTOB) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2016
The above-named Order made by the Council on 24/08/16, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 08/09/16 has been continued in force from 08/03/18 as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 07/03/19 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic a 1050 mtr length of Footpath No 24 Mordon Parish that extends between North Farm Elstob and Road C37 Mordon to Bishopton Road owing to a dangerous structure and to enable remedial works to be undertaken on or adjacent to the said footpath. There is no alternative route available to pedestrian traffic.
(A689 LITTLE CHEF ROUNDABOUT TO SANDS HALL ROUNDABOUT, SEDGEFIELD) (TEMPORARY CONTRAFLOWS, SPEED RESTRICTIONS AND ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to restrict all vehicular traffic on the following lengths of roads by reason of carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken as follows: Road Closure: A) Prohibit vehicular traffic from travelling in a westerly direction on the westbound carriageway of A689 between its junctions with Little Chef Roundabout & Sands Hall Roundabout; (B) A 5 mtr length of the western section of Little Chef Roundabout, south of the southern kerb line of eastbound A689 entry onto the roundabout; (C) A 5 mtr length of the eastern section of Sands Hall Roundabout between the east & westbound running lanes of the contraflow of the A689 westbound entry onto the roundabout; (D) The central reserve crossover of A689 opposite C38 Stockton Rd including the right turn deceleration lane, east of Little Chef Roundabout. Speed Limit: (E) Prohibit vehicular traffic from driving at a speed in excess of 40 miles per along along: (i) A689 eastbound dual carriageway from a point 1160 metres west of circulatory road of the A177 Sands Hall Roundabout, Sedgefield, incorporatingSands HallRoundaboutandLittleChefRoundabouts toapoint 120 metreseast of A177LittleChefRoundabout; (ii) A689 westbounddualcarriagewayfromapoint 1530 metres east ofand westerlyto a point 1160 metres west ofSands Hall Roundabout; (iii) A177 between the Little Chef Roundabout and a point 960 metres south east. Contraflows & Prohibition of movement: (F) Prohibit the movement of vehicular traffic over that length of road of: (a) A689 Sands HallRoundaboutandtheA689/A177LittleChefRoundabout. 1. Duringtheclosureof the section of dual carriageway specified in Article (F) above, no person shall cause any vehicle to: (i) Enterorproceedintheoffsidelaneoftheeastbounddualcarriagewayofthecarriageway as specified in Article (F) (a) above, other than in a westerly direction; (ii) Overtake any moving vehicle in that length of carriageway; (iii) Make a U-turn in that length of carriageway. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from Saturday 10 March 2018 for the duration of the works anticipated to be 10 days. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for the above restrictions may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternativeroute: (a) fromStocktonRd(southofA689) /LittleChefRoundabout westerly on A689 to & around Sands Hall Roundabout & returning eastbound along A689 to A689 Sedgefield-Hartlepool; (b) from Sands Hall Roundabout easterly to & around Little Chef Roundabout and returning westbound to A689/A1(M); and (c) from C38 / A689 easterly on A689 to & around Wynyard Roundabout, returning westbound along A689 to A177 Sedgefield-Stockton.
