ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (BOATHOUSE LANE INTERCHANGE TO YARM ROAD INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Stockton-on-Tees, to enable gully resetting, patching, surfacing and road marking works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 15 January 2018 for 5 nights or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A66: (i) westbound carriageway between Yarm Road Interchange exit slip road and Boathouse Lane Interchange entry slip road, a distance of 2440 metres, (ii) westbound entry slip road at Boathouse Lane Interchange; and (iii) westbound entry slip road at Yarm Road Interchange. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). The Order comes into force on 14 January 2018 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
