ROBERTS On February 24, suddenly at home in Askrigg, Wensleydale (formerly of Gunnerside in Swaledale). Irene aged 69 years. Dearly loved wife of John, very dear mum of Peter and Jayne, much loved mother-in-law of Matthew, loving grandma-Big Ma of Samantha, Alice, Charlie and Grace, great-grandma of Eliza and much loved sister of Mary and Joan. A private service of committal will be held at Darlington Crematorium. However a Service of Thanksgiving for Irene's life will be held at St. Oswald's Church, Askrigg on Friday March 9, at 1:30pm, to which all are very welcome. Family flowers only please, although donations in memory of Irene would be appreciated for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service and The British Heart Foundation and may be given at the service or forwarded to Simon Barningham, Manor Farm, Grinton, Richmond, North Yorks, DL11 6HL.
